Rescue FAQs

Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue is an all volunteer organization dedicated to rescuing and re-homing dachshunds and dachshund mixes. We rely completely on donations, fundraisers and adoption fees to cover all of the vetting expenses for each animal brought into rescue. Much of the time the vetting expense far out weighs the adoption fee of the dogs. Members in each state do fundraising activities in an individual and team effort to help raise funds for the organization. We are always looking for good foster homes and for volunteers to help in our mission.
Coast to Coast Dachshund Rescue is a national non-profit dachshund and dachshund mix rescue organization.

Additional adoption info

All adoptions require an application which can be found at our website www.c2cdr.org. The adoption fee structure can also be found on the website. If a dog that is being adopted requires out of state transport it is the financial responsibility of the adopter to to cover the costs and make the transportation arrangements. Every dog brought into rescue is placed in a loving foster home and is completely vetted prior to adoption. It is our goal to have any adoption be the forever home for each dog.
