We are the Fairbanks North Star Borough Division of Animal Control.

Our Mission is:

To ensure the safety and well-being of all borough residents through proactive education and enforcement, excellent customer service and outstanding animal care practices.
Fairbanks North Star Borough including: Fairbanks, North Pole, Ester, Fox, Two Rivers, and Salcha.

Additional adoption info

All pets adopted from the Shelter are required to be spayed or neutered at time of adoption. If they are not, the adopter is responsible for the cost of spay/neuter surgery. If they are, the adopter must pay an adoption fee ($130 dog/$90 cat). Permanent Identification of microchip or tattoo is required prior to release from the shelter. The fee for a microchip is $15. There is a $15 rabies vaccination charge for all pets where vaccines cannot be verified as current.
