Rescue FAQs

We are a handful of volunteers doing rescue work in our spare time. We do our best to respond to calls and emails in a timely manner, but your patience is appreciated.

Adoption steps

  1. Submit Application
    1. Our adoption application is an online form. You will have the option to save your application and complete it later if you need more time.
  2. Interview
    1. If you appear to be a good fit for a dog we will reach out to schedule a phone interview. Otherwise you will be added to our waitlist.
  3. Meet the Pet
    1. We do a meet and greet with perspective adopters in their home. This allows us to do a home inspection as well.
  4. Take the Pet Home
    1. All adopters are required to do an adoption trial period of a minimum of 30 days before we finalize the adoption to be sure it's a good fit.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. After successful completion of an adoption trial, we will sign the adoption contract and pay the adoption fee.

Additional adoption info

We look to the adoption waitlist first when trying to place a dog.
Please know, we are currently experiencing a high volume of application submissions, so your patience is appreciated.
