Adopters must be at least 25 years old.

Interested adopters are required to complete an Adoption Questionnaire prior to setting up a time to meet our dogs for adoption.

All current/previous pets in your home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations.

Provide your veterinarian’s information (if you have a current pet and veterinarian or have owned a pet within the past 10 years).

We require landlord name and phone numbers for all renters interested in adopting.

A home visit is required as part of the adoption process.

About Lilo's Promise Animal Rescue

Lilo's Promise Animal Rescue is a group of dedicated volunteers who provide love, veterinary care, obedience training, socialization and safe housing for homeless animals. Our focus is high risk pit bull type dogs in our local shelters. Pets taken into LPAR will stay with us until their forever homes are found, no matter how long that may be. We believe no matter what the breed, background, age, or disability, all animals deserve a second chance or as we prefer to say, "A new beginning". Each animal we rescue has a special place in our hearts. Our goal is to make the best match possible for both the pets and those looking to adopt a new family member. Lilo’s Promise conducts community educational programs emphasizing the importance of spay/neuter, obedience training, bite prevention for children, BSL, and the joy of adopting a homeless dog or cat.

Lilo’s Promise is a volunteer, non-profit 501(c)(3) animal welfare organization

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
