Shelter FAQs

We are a joint effort between the City of Lampasas and Lampasas County. We are an open admission facility and house all strays picked up in this county. We also take in owner surrenders. We are unable to accept animals from outside our County.
All of Lampasas County to include Lampasas, Kempner, Lometa, Nix, and Adamsville

All adoptions are first come first serve and by appointment

Adoption Fees
Dog $30
Cats $20
Adopters that live within Lampasas County will be charged for a rabies vaccination at time of adoption if the animal is not current. This ranges from $15.5-19 depending on which clinic you choose to use.
Our Livestock animals adoption prices are per market value. All other animals are $20 (ferrets, hamsters, birds, etc.)
