Rescue FAQs

Frisco Humane Society is an all-volunteer organization and completely relies on fundraising/donations to continue our rescue efforts and provide veterinary care. We do not have a shelter, as all animals live in our homes until adopted. Our goal are saving precious lives, promoting adoption from rescue, and reducing the pet population through spay and neuter.
Frisco Humane Society serves the Dallas, TX area. We are a non-profit cat and dog foster and adoption organization. We rescue primarily from kill shelters, foster in our homes, take care of any veterinary or behavioral issues, vaccinate spay/neuter, microchip, and then adopt out to qualified, loving families who go through an application process.

Adoption steps

  1. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
    1. Visit FriscoHumaneSociety.com or a Saturday & Sunday, Noon-4 p.m. Adopt-a-Pet events at PetSmart on Preston, Frisco to meet adoptable pets.

  4. Approve Application
    1. Once the app is reviewed and interview conducted, the application will be approved if it is found the animal and adopter are a good match.
  5. Sign Adoption Contract
    1. Final step is to sign the contract, pay the adoption fee, and take your new furry family member home.
