We adopt to Midwest States. The state abbreviation next to the dog's name indicates what state the dog is being fostered in. We do have a transport team that will assist in relocating a dog, so feel free to fill out an adoption application for ANY one of our available dogs.

Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue (MSIR) is a non-profit, all-volunteer corporation.
MSIR seeks out, fosters, and places homeless Shiba Inu dogs into carefully screened, lifelong, and nurturing homes. In addition to rescue, MSIR volunteers provide medical care and/or rehabilitation for foster dogs and then matches them with appropriate forever homes.

Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
