True Hearts of Rottweiler Rescue [THORR] is a 501[c]3 charity that promotes Rottweiler breed integrity through education and rescue activities. THORR is both the name of the rescue, and the name of our founder’s inspiration, a Rottweiler named Thor who could open the refrigerator to help himself to dinner, then turn on the kitchen faucet for a quick drink. Just your typical smart and sassy Rottweiler!
Our passion started with Rottweilers, but we have expanded our breed list to include short-coat mastiffs, including Great Danes, Cane Corso, Neopolitan Mastiffs, etc.

Additional adoption info
Our adoption process requires submission of our online application (found at www.thorr.org under the "Adopt" tab. When we receive an online application, we will begin processing the application by calling personal and veterinary references. Once reference checks are completed, we will call you to discuss your perfect dog. We will also schedule a home visit at that time. We are a small, all-volunteer group, so processing can take some time; please be patient with us.
