Shelter FAQs

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
Albuquerque, Rio Rancho, and surrounding area.

Additional adoption info

Select a dog or cat, complete a questionaire, complete an adoption contract, and go home with a new family member. Fees vary - please see our website.
