Rescue FAQs

The Logan County Humane Society takes in on average around 1,500 animals yearly. Our mission is to give each of these animals the very best care we possibly can while they are in our care and can find their forever loving home. We also run a trap and release program every year to help reduce our community cat overpopulation. Our goal is to help better educate our youth in animal health and overpopulation.
Once an adoption application is approved we have no trouble doing out of state or even international adoptions. We serve all of Logan County Ky, as animal control and taking in strays or owner surrenders in our area.

Additional adoption info

Dogs: Our adoption fee covers- Heartworm test, spay/neuter, microchip, Da2pp, Kennel cough and Rabies vaccinations, deworming, initial heartworm/flea prevention.
Our adoption fee is $97.

Indoor Cats: Our adoption fee covers- FELV/FIV testing, spay/neuter, microchip, Fvrcp and rabies vaccinations, deworming and initial flea prevention.
Our adoption fee is $75.

Barn Cats: To help prevent euthanization due to overpopulation at our facility we do have Barn cats that are spayed/neutered, and rabies vaccinated. These cats are socialized but not cuddle bugs and they are FREE!!!!

Donations can be made through our website at www.loganhumanesociety.org. All donations are very much appreciated and help with vetting expenses and medical supplies.
