Additional adoption info

Adult dogs 1 year or older 20 lbs and up are $150
Adult dogs 1 year or older under 20 lbs are $150
Puppies between the ages of 6 weeks and 1 year are $250

Adoption fees include: spay/neuter of dog, shots, fecal exam, heartworm test, rabies shot, and bordetella shot and microchip.

An adoption contract must be signed and adoption fees collected prior to receiving the dog. There will be a home visit conducted prior to adoption. Our office hours vary so leave a message and we will return your call during next business hours. Response to e-mails is often the same day. All dogs are up-to-date on shots, are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, and will go through a health certification process with the vet. Included in the contract is a clause that states the dog is to be returned to HSSC and no one else if family decides not to keep the dog for any reason at any time, if pet is returned with a 5 day period half of the adoption fee will be returned, after the first 5 days none of the adoption fee will be refunded.
