Frisky Felines Foundation's adoption process

Additional adoption info

All cats and kittens adoptions are $80. You must fill out an adoption questionnaire for the kitty you are wanting. When picking up your pet you must sign the adoption agreement which is on the website and you have the right to go over it before you arrive so you know what you will be signing. You must agree to unannounced home visits the first year. This is just to check on the well being of the cat you adopted. We are not out to judge how you live, where you live, etc, just that you are caring properly for the cat that we trust you with. If you ever come to a point that you cannot keep the cat you must return the cat to us. You cannot rehome, sell or give away the cat without our written permission. If you move after a year we would appreciate an update as we would always like you to keep in touch with us on the kitty, not necessary however. It is just nice to see our babies grow old with their new families.

About Frisky Felines Foundation

I am a former veterinary technician. I love animals. In 2003 I became disabled and could not go back to work. I missed not working with animals and due to us finding so many stray cats and we took them in, I knew I had to do something, we couldn't keep them all. So Frisky Felines Foundation was born. Instead of just taking in strays and finding homes for them, we also had them spayed/neutered and vetted. Then it got to be more of a problem of just so many cats that we became a no kill shelter and have decided to not only help our community but to help as many communities as we can physically touch. We also have a program from people facing having to rehome their pet due to foreclosure, eviction, deployment, etc. This is set up for families that can get back on their feet and take their cat home in 12 months or less.

We do these things because cats love their people and people love their cats.

We have been small for so long then stepped up and joined other No Kill organizations and we need funding to add on. If you'd like to help we are taking donations to build a large 2 story shelter to address many needed problems in the cat world. Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
