**Rescue Without Borders (R.W.B.)** is a small, dedicated animal rescue based in **New Jersey**, committed to saving animals both locally and internationally.
**Our Motto:**
🖤 *Every Dog Deserves a Good Home—No Matter the Breed or Where They Come From.*
At **Rescue Without Borders**, we believe love knows no boundaries. We do not discriminate—we rescue the underdogs, whether they are in the U.S. or abroad.
**Our Rescue Mission**
Currently, our focus is on two groups of **underdogs**:
1. **American Staffordshire Terriers/Pit Bull Mixes** – Pulled from local U.S. shelters, where they are often misunderstood and at high risk of euthanasia.
2. **Indian Pariah Dogs (IN Dogs/Desi Dogs) ** – Rescued from the streets of India, where they struggle to survive in harsh conditions with little chance of ever finding a home.
At R.W.B., we **open our hearts and homes** to abandoned and unwanted dogs and cats, regardless of location, age, sex, breed, or size.
**Our Rescue & Adoption Process**
Many of the animals we save come from severe neglect, abuse, or abandonment. To ensure their well-being, our rescue process includes:
- **Foster Care & Rehabilitation:** Our rescued animals live with foster families for a few weeks, where they receive veterinary care, socialization, and basic training.
- **Matching Process:** Because we spend significant time with our rescues, we understand their personalities and needs. This allows us to match them with the right forever home.
- **Health & Wellness:** We prioritize the health of our rescues and spare no expense in their care. Every pet receives:
- Veterinary checkups, vaccinations, and a full blood and stool test.
- High-quality, nutritious food and necessary supplements.
- Spay/neuter procedures for all pets over six months old.
- International rescues arrive in the U.S. with an **International Health Certificate** and all required medical documentation.

**Why Rescue Without Borders? **
Many ask: *Why bring dogs from another country when so many need help in the U.S.?*
In **India**, street dogs are rarely considered family pets. Many people cannot afford to keep a dog, and those who do often prefer Western breeds as status symbols. As a result, **millions of street dogs** suffer from starvation, disease, vehicle accidents, and cruelty, with little hope of ever finding a home.
We focus on rescuing dogs that have **no chance of survival on the streets**, including orphaned puppies, the injured, the sick, and the abandoned. The **average lifespan of an Indian street dog is under five years**, but when adopted as pets, they can live healthy, happy lives for **18+ years**.
Indian Pariah dogs are among the **hardiest, most intelligent, and quick learning** breeds. They are survivors by nature, making them incredible companions when given the chance.

## **Our Impact**
Over the past **15 years**, we have successfully rescued, rehabilitated, and found loving homes for **over 500 Indian street dogs** throughout the Northeast U.S.
At the same time, we continue to rescue **Pit Bulls and Pit Bull-type dogs** from kill shelters in the U.S. Through our work, we advocate for these misunderstood dogs, educate the public, and work to **dispel the misconceptions surrounding the breed**.
**Our Commitment**
Beyond rescue and adoption, we **educate and empower** adopters and foster families on the importance of:
✅ **Proper nutrition** for long-term health.
✅ **Socialization & training** to ensure well-adjusted pets.
✅ **Daily exercise** to keep pets mentally and physically stimulated.
✅ **Spay/neuter programs** to prevent unwanted litters and reduce overpopulation.
We are **proud to be a rescue without borders**, giving every dog—no matter where they come from—a chance at a loving home.
