Rescue FAQs

We are a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization based out of Clarksville, TN that consists of three board members and a handful of local volunteers. We are a cooperative rescue group bonded by our great common love for animals. We rescue pets (mostly dogs) across the state of TN and areas of KY that are in close proximity to us. Most of the pets we rescue do come from kill shelters or are going to go into a kill shelter if not rescued. We try to help pregnant dogs, nursing moms, or litters of puppies no older than 10 weeks of age. If any puppies are not adopted out through us by 12 weeks of age, we put them onto transport up north with North Shore Animal League to make room for the next litter in need. We adopt out the mama dogs and, also, rescue single puppies and adults as room allows. We are not a breed specific rescue. We may also be found on Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/PetsAreWorthSavingpawsTn#!/PetsAreWorthSavingpawsTn. Our pets available for adoption are listed here, and we also post other pets across the state of TN who are in shelters or other unfortunate circumstances in hopes that they may be adopted or rescued. We are always in need of great local foster homes (both short and long term) as well as event volunteers. Please e-mail us at petsareworthsavingtn@live.com if you would like to help with our pets. Additional info can be found at www.pawstn.com.
We are based out of Clarksville, TN. We will adopt to TN residents as well as to any out of state party who is willing to arrange for and pay transport/health certificate costs for their newly adopted pet.

Additional adoption info

Our basic adoption fee is $200 (includes spay/neuter, one set of vaccinations/worming, heartworm test, and microchip) and $225 for animals who have needed their teeth to be cleaned prior to adoption. We do have an adoption application as well as an adoption contract that is signed upon adoption of an animal.

Please visit our Facebook Page. Our donate tab is located there beside our Notes 2 tab underneath our cover photo.
