Adoption steps
- Visit the Facility and Find a Pet
- Sign Adoption ContractOur adoption contract requires you to take care of the pet and agree to return to our shelter if the pet doesn't fit your situation.
- Pay FeeOur standard adoption rates are $150 for puppies (6 mos and under) $90 for dogs and $70 for cats.
- Take the Pet Homeand receive more love than you can imagine!

Colleton County Animal Shelter offers pets for adoption to the public. You don't have to be a Colleton resident to adopt from our shelter. Our adoption process is welcoming and simple; meet our pets, work with our team to find the best match for your lifestyle, complete our adoption agreement, pay the adoption fee, take home your new best friend!
