Rescue FAQs

Our Mission Statement: Wags to Whiskers of Texas, Inc. is a non-profit organization promoting and providing for the rescue, rehabilitation and adoption of small animals through fostering, sheltering and education. Our focus is not only on rescue, rehabilitation and adoption, but also on educating the public on responsible pet ownership, including proper care, housing, training, and spay/neuter. Our goal is that through responsible pet ownership, the rate of unwanted animals will decrease and fewer animals will be euthanized for the lack of a home.
We are a 501 (c) 3 non-profit, no-kill, animal rescue. We are located just north of Houston in Porter, TX. We serve Humble, Porter, New Caney, Spring, Cleveland and the Greater Houston Area. This includes Harris, Montgomery, Liberty and San Jacinto Counties. We have a physical rescue site and hold adoptions at the New Caney PetSmart (rescue cats) and the Humble PetSmart Fostered Cats)

Adopters are required to fill our an application, contract Our adoption fees are set per individual cats. Each adoption is handled individually, no adopter or animal is the same.
