Rescue FAQs

FRANNY'S FRIENDS is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that is dedicated to helping the unwanted forgotten animals in southeastern North Carolina. Our goal is to provide safe and loving homes for each dog or cat that we find! We update all vaccines, test for heartworms, and spay/neuter at the appropriate age. FRANNY'S FRIENDS is 100% foster-based, so our number of pets is lower that a lot of shelters. This affords us the opportunity to get to know our dogs and cats to help place them in the most appropriate environment based on their specific needs! FRANNY'S FRIENDS rescues animals from kill shelters, abandoned areas, unwanted homes, and our local animal cruelty division. We give our furry friends security and a second chance at a wonderful life!
Robeson County, Bladen County, Cumberland County, Columbus County are the closest surrounding counties but FRANNY'S FRIENDS is not limited to these areas.

All presently owned animals must be current on shots and either spayed or neutered. A house check will be conducted also to make sure it is a safe enviromen t for the animal(s). A fenced in yard ,not kennel or run, is required for the animals from Frannys Friends. They have been fostered to be a part of a family, inside and out, to be a joy in your life. We reserve the right to refuse adoption to anyone who does not meet our criteria or has a known history of abuse to any living creature There is an adoption fee to help cover costs of each dog or cat.
