Additional adoption info
Please read our 'Adoption Policy' page as well as 'Are You Right for a Chinchilla?' page on our web site to see all the details about our adoption process. An adoption application can be found at the bottom of that page. Please give us several days to get back to you as we are very busy caring for the chinchillas and receive many applications. An adoption application MUST be filled out in full for any chinchilla listed to be considered for an adoption. You are expected to provide an appropriate and safe cage and supplies before any adoption will take place. There is a $100.00 adoption fee for each chinchilla. We do not recommend chinchillas for families that have children under the age of 14 yrs.
Since we are a home-based private rescue, only those approved for adoption may visit the rescue.
***PLEASE NOTE: At this time, with so many chinchillas looking for a new home, we cannot take all of them into our rescue. We are helping those we can't take by doing COURTESY Listings. We will list a chinchilla from CT as well as other states to help them find a home. You must still fill out one of our adoption applications and be approved for an adoption before you are paired with the current guardian of the chinchilla you are interested in.
