My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet sweet, gentle, loving girls Harper and Harlow - a bonded pair around 3 years old - maybe sisters? These 2 girls love being together, whether it be going for a walk, sunbathing in the yard, or playing with their favorite toys. And they are so very gentle, they love human attention and engage well in their surroundings. They enjoy being doted on, receiving belly rubs and being the center of attention. They have that endearing hound hoot bark when they feel the need to alert you of something nearby. They enjoy being pet and really enjoy being brushed while they are laying down soaking up the warmth of the sun. They are playful with their toys - tossing them in the air, chasing after them, and enjoying the benefits of a good chew toy. These girls would be great in a home that is gentle yet active to keep them physically and mentally stimulated and a fenced in yard is a definite plus because they very much enjoy the freedom of lounging in the yard with the sun and their toys. They walk well on leash and are both spayed, micro-chipped and up to date with vaccinations. Each weigh approximately 80 lbs and estimated to have been born around 9/1/22.

Please note we are always in need of foster homes for our dogs. If interested in making a difference in a dog's life, we would love to share with you what it means to be a foster parent. You'd be making a huge, positive difference in the life of an animal who needs you.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We are dedicated to ensuring that our dogs go to a "forever" loving, nurturing home. As a result, our process is stringent, requiring an application, home visit, vet and reference checks and an adoption contract. We want the adoption to be a match made in heaven for both the new adoptive parents and the adopted dog.

Go meet their pets

We provide adoption opportunities for those living in the Northeast who are willing to do long distance adoptions. Many of our dogs live in Wharton, Texas but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.

More about this rescue

Smiling Dog Farms is a 501(c) non-profit animal rescue. We strive to restore hope to the forgotten, neglected and rejected unwanted dogs and puppies rescued from the streets and local kill-shelters. Each dog that enters our rescue receives their full round of vaccinations, gets spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and placed on flea and tick and heartworm prevention. Many of our dogs live in Wharton Texas, but we have very safe, reliable transport to the Northeast.
