Rescue FAQs

We are a 501(c) 3, all volunteer group that rescue homeless animals. We provide the necessary medical care & rehabilitation for our dogs to prepare them for their new homes. We also participate in community events in an effort to educate the public on the importance of sterilizing their pets to help end pet over population. Additionally we stress the importance of maintaining vaccinations and well-pet care. We are a foster-based organization and do not have a single 'facility'. All of our dogs go straight into foster homes to help prepare them for adoption. Many are crate trained, housebroken, and started on basic obedience prior to leaving our care. Our goal is to give them the best start possible to make a successful adoption. As a rescue, we have chosen to concentrate on dogs in high-kill shelters. Our goal is to see dogs stay in their homes. If you are thinking of surrendering your pet, we are happy to help provide resources to make it possible for you to keep you pet.
We are a 501(c)3 rescue dedicated to saving animals from high-kill shelters and finding them loving FOREVER homes. We rescue local and out of state dogs in high-kill shelters, vet and foster them until adoption. We serve the Virginia, Maryland, DC, West Virginia and North Carolina areas. While working with other rescue groups, we also have the ability to facilitate out of area adoptions and have been able to adopt dogs out as far as Illinois and Maine. Please contact us if you are interested in one of our dogs.

Additional adoption info

Adoption fee: $100 for puppies and $125 for all adults. All dogs over 16 weeks of age are altered prior to adoption.
