Additional adoption info
More information about our adoption process and our contract can be found on our website at www.wvpetinc.org
•Adopters must be at least 21 years of age and complete an adoption application which requires a vet reference and two personal references, and pay the $10 application processing fee.
•Puppy adoption fees are $160 and our contract requires that you pay to have them spay/neutered at the age your vet recommends. They will be wormed, have their first set of vaccinations, and be microchipped.
•The adoption fee for dogs that are fully vetted is $210. That includes spay/neuter, up-to-date on vaccinations, wormed, and microchipped.
•Senior dogs are available at a reduced rate that will be determined by the circumstances.
•It can take up to 7 days for your application to be approved as we are volunteers and sometimes there is a delay in contacting vet references or personal references.
•In the event that we receive several applications for one dog, we will choose the family that is the best fit. We will also try to match the remaining families with other dogs that would be a good fit for their lifestyles.
