THIS SHELTER IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED. FOR HELP WITH ANIMALS, CALL 256-443-5154 (Kimberly Carpenter, Animal Control Officer) Animal Rescue Shelter of Lawrence County, Alabama was founded by animal friendly individuals to offer an alternative to the high-kill County Shelter. We are a pro-life facility. Our goal is to build a new , state of the art facility to serve the animals and citizens of Lawrence County. We plan on including a low-cost spay/neuter facility to reduce the over-population in Lawrence County and surrounding areas.
THIS SHELTER IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED. FOR HELP WITH ANIMALS, CALL 256-443-5154 (Kimberly Carpenter, Animal Control Officer) We serve Lawrence County, Alabama residents but also serve surrounding counties such as Colbert and Morgan as needed and space is available.

Additional adoption info

An adoption contract is required prior to adoption. Our basic adoption fee is $70 to help cover the cost of spay/neuter and rabies shots. All animals are current on all age appropriate shots and are spayed or neutered prior to adoption.
