Additional adoption info

Our adoption process is as follows:

ALL dogs will be temperament tested, and evaluated prior to being put up for adoption, this will ensure we will know which dog would best fit what family type. All dogs will be fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, heart-worm tested, and fecal checked (spay/neuter contract will be required for all puppies.) BEFORE being placed up for adoption.

Adoption Fee for all dogs is $125.00 regardless of age, breed, or gender. Adopters who adopt a puppy on a spay neuter contract will receive $50.00 of their adoption fee back when PROOF of spay/neuter is shown.

An adoption application is required, and all references WILL be checked.

The second step is a meet and greet/training session, we will show you what training your new companion has had, and we will properly introduce your current pets (if any) to the new member, and go over temperament, etc.

3rd step is a 2 week "sleep over" or trial period, during this time we will keep in close contact and insure everything is going well, and be there to assist with the transition of the new pet to the family... we will schedule a date to come and finalize the adoption and sign the contract, along with paying the adoption fee after the 2 week trial.

the signing of the adoption contract, both adopter AND DSG will retain a copy of this, and we want to go over this in detail with you to insure everyone understands the process, and what is stated in the contract.

**Please Note: IF at ANY time after a dog is adopted and the adopter cannot keep the dog, the dog is to be RETURNED to DSG, and NO refund will be given. **

You will from time to time, usually every 6 months receive a call from DSG check on the dog, and to make sure everyone is still happy and getting along well.

Any questions regarding the adoption policy will be gladly discussed, and clarified.
