Rescue FAQs

Roxy’s K-9 Rescue is devoted to providing care and a safe environment for abused, neglected and abandoned dogs. Dogs from the streets of San Antonio and those awaiting certain death in local kill shelters are our top priority. As a home based rescue group, our goal is to rehabilitate and place these dogs into permanent loving homes.
We adopt out dogs/puppies to approved homes around the state of Texas as well as transport across the Unites States. We use 3 different pet transportation services or an airline.

Additional adoption info

All of our puppies/dogs have had their spay/neuter surgery, received all vaccinations required for their age at the time of adoption, rabies shot & certificate (if old enough at the time of adoption), microchip & brochure & tag. They have been dewormed twice and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Their medical records come with each pet at the time of adoption.

Our adoption fees start at $200 for dogs and $250 for puppies of any age. Purebred dogs adoption fees will be more according to the breed and age.

We ask that you complete an application before we schedule a meet and greet with the dog of your choice.

We also require home visits especially if there is another dog/cat already in the home of the potential adopter.
