Home ownership verification or landlord/condo association approval is required. For dogs, if there are any dogs currently living in the home, a scheduled and supervised interaction with the prospective dog is required. Additional requirements may apply depending upon the individual animal. Upon adoption, the adopter is required to sign a contract agreeing to provide the animal with the care and medical treatment he or she needs throughout his or her life. They also must agree to provide the animal with an indoor home and if at any point in the animal's life the adopter is unable to keep the animal, the animal must be returned to the shelter.
