Rescue FAQs

I'm just a girl who loves animals! I rescued my first dog at 8 years old..she was a beautiful white german shepherd/samoyed. She licked my face and we were best friends for the last 13 years! I made a promise to her that I would try and help dogs that didn't have a home. My parents were very supportive and let me volunteer for several animal rescues and I even adopted my first horse at 19 from Longmeadow Rescue Ranch in Mo (I still have her!) Now im 27 and own my own business so I'm able to work from home a lot and spend time helping these babies but I guess you could say I have a bigger heart then wallet half the time! I like to rescue the ones that other rescues don't want. Just because they are your typical black labs or heartworm positive pitbulls..or dog aggressive bc they haven't had proper socialization- doesn't make them any less special in my eyes. I put them in great foster homes where they don't sit in a kennel their whole life. We actually treat heartworms- do surgeries- training you name it! I will take on parvo pups and sit with them on iv's 24/7 until they are healthy again. Whatever they need..I will do it! ..I have some amazing fosters that spend their own money to help these dogs and would do anything for them. There is so much behind the scene work that people don't get to see. I'll go to the pound and humanely euthanize a dying dog so it knows love before it passes..it's beyond emotionally draining to take on such critical dogs but I will fight for their life with everything I have!! I know as a TEAM- WE can all help them...even if you can't foster..donating is helping them- sharing their picture is helping them! Everything we do is a team effort and I want to thank each and every one of you for being a part of this!
