Additional adoption info
Please note that we don't want the pets we adopt to be chained or housed outside 24/7. Your pet will become part of you family and much happier if they can spend most of their time as a family member and not outside. Any cats that are adopted are to be inside pets only.
At anytime, should you need to re-home your pet, for whatever reason, you must return them to our shelter for re-adoption.
Fees:
Dogs - $166.75 adoption fee plus dog License
Cats - $85 adoption fee
Crawford County Dog License - $16.00 yearly
(Yearly tags due by last day of February, after that date the price
is then $32.00)
(Newly adopted dogs are only $16.00 no matter what month.)
***You must have the license tags for your dog within 30 days of getting it or by the time it's 3 months old!***
Dog licenses may be purchased at the Humane Society by any County resident for the dogs that they own.
If you are adopting an animal from the Humane Society this fee is in addition to your adoption fee.
