California City Animal Shelter

SHELTER VIEWING HOURS: 0800-1400 (2:00) daily (this includes weekends). If you call the shelter, it can take time some time to get back to you. Email is usually the best way to correspond - cal.cityanimalshelter@gmail.com. The main # to the shelter is 760-373-1115 or call the CC Police Dept at 760-373-8606 and ask for Animal Control if dispatch is required. California City Shelter is rescue friendly, animals are free to 501c3 organizations but must have 5013c paperwork on file with the shelter. This shelter does not provide funds for any type of vetting. ADOPTION FEES: $100/dogs, $75/cats, this covers the spay/neuter at our local Cal City Pet Clinic, $10 voucher towards a rabies shot, $20 for the California City annual license (not required for cats) $20 adoption fee and the rest for S/N If you are adopting and not a California City resident, the cost would be reduced by the $20 annual Cal City license fee.
