Shelter FAQs

Mayflower Animal Control located in Central Arkansas has dedicated volunteers and an amazing Animal Control Officer who have committed themselves to save the homeless companion animals (dogs and cats) in the Mayflower community. As of now, we only euthanize animals that are severely injured and/or has an aggressive behavior. We continue to strive in offering hope, love, and care to the neglected animals. With help of fosters, volunteers, and adopters, like you, we and the four legged friends appreciate the helping hand.
We only rescue dogs and cats within the Mayflower, Arkansas city limit, but can adopt to anywhere.

Additional adoption info

Adoption Fee for dogs are $125 and cats $80
***Adoption Fee varies on what medical expenses the animal has received. Please contact the Control because the fee might be less or higher than the animal is listed.***

Proceeds go directly to improve the Mayflower Animal Control facility.

All cats and dogs are vetted, tested, and spayed/neutered before adopted out.

Adopters are required to fill out a Cat/Dog Adoption Questionnaire and a Placement Contract.

Require a follow up on the pet from the owner if asked by the Mayflower Animal Control Officer to do so.

Donation of food, supplies or monetary gifts are accepted in person at the Mayflower Police Department or via shipments the address above.
