Rescue FAQs

The Philly Kitty (TPK) is an organization established in order to enrich the lives of abandoned, rescued, and orphaned cats and kittens in the city of Philadelphia that are without shelter, food, medical care, and love. The mission of The Philly Kitty is to save the lives of Philadelphia's homeless cats & kittens by providing temporary foster homes & spay and neuter services, and ultimately, permanent forever homes.
Based out of Northeast Philadelphia, The Philly Kitty, Inc., (TPK) is a 501(c)3 nonprofit, no-kill, volunteer-run cat rescue. TPK is a small group of experienced animal rescue volunteers that have formed to provide refuge, medical care, spay and neuter efforts, and permanent homes for stray cats. Cats are provided with complete veterinary care and then placed within our foster care program. TPK operates solely out of foster care homes and our foster volunteers are the backbone of the organization.
