Rescue FAQs

I started doing rescue when I started working in the animal field. I saw so many unwanted animals out there and I had to do something to help. I started my rescue Purrs, Paws, and Claws and have not looked back. I make it my mission now to help where and when I can.
We are a growing rescue that helps with animals that are no longer wanted. We will take in dogs and puppies from the kill shelters and as well as owner surrenders. We make sure that ever dog and puppy have multiple vet visits before being placed into a home. Many come in unhealthy and do we everything we can to get the dog or puppy healthy and then place into a great homes. We adopt our animals out in SC, FL, GA, NC, VA, MD, DE, PA, NJ, NY. We will also transport our own animals to the adopters and will not place our animals on any other transport but one other in case of an emergency.

Additional adoption info

Any adopter interested in adopting any animal with Purrs, Paws, and Claws will have to fill out an application before any adoption is finalized. All application will have to have either a current vet reference or three personal references that do not live in the same home as the adopter. I personally meet with 99% of Purrs, Paws, and Claws adopters. All questions are answered before the dog or puppy goes home with the adopter. Purrs, Paws, and Claws does not ask for any adoption fee up front until the adopter meets the dog or puppy to make sure this is the dog/puppy that they want as a new family member. Purrs, Paws, and Claws also requires updates over the first two weeks of adoption.
