Rescue FAQs

Project POOCH, Inc., provides opportunities for youth in corrections to develop the personal and vocational skills they will need to become responsible, productive members of the community. The program accomplishes this by teaching youth to care for and train shelter dogs for adoption. We have successfully paired youth at MacLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn with homeless dogs since 1993.
We bring dogs into our kennel from area shelters. We serve the Portland metro area, southwest Washington, as well as south of Portland, and the Woodburn and Salem areas.
