Rescue FAQs

The Nirvana Ridge Ferret Rescue (NRF) is a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit and no-kill animal welfare organization, established to benefit the domestic ferret (Mustela Furo). Our mission is to protect and provide for any ferret(s) in need, regardless of health, age or origin, until a permanent loving home can be found. Our mission includes the educational promotion of the domestic ferret as extradinary, curious and endearing pets.
Our main shelter is located in Brandy Station, VA. We have a network of foster homes, to include Richmond, Charlottesville, Virginia Beach, Newport News, and Durham, NC.

Our fees vary based on the age of the animal. The amount is nominal. Fees may be paid in cash or via PayPal directly, or payment to our veterinarian, or payment to our feed supplier.
