Rescue FAQs

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
We prefer adoptions to be in the Northeast, but we are open to transporting for the right home.

Additional adoption info

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required. Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted. Puppies under 1 year : $495 Adults 1-9 years: $375 Adults 9+ years: $300 Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter
