Rescue FAQs

We are a no-kill, all-volunteer, 501(c)(3) organization. We are dedicated to saving cats and dogs in NYC's Animal Care & Control (ACC) shelters and those in the rural South. We are a member of the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals and a New Hope Partner (formerly My Best Friend Foundation). We help those that are left behind due to age, illness or disabilities.
We serve the NYC area, Long Island and Staten Island as well as Northern NJ.

Additional adoption info

Potential adopters must fill out an adoption application; there is a phone interview, home visit and vet/personal reference check prior to approval and adoption. The Adopter must sign an Adoption Agreement to finalize the adoption process.
