Rescue FAQs

We are a very small family run private rescue.
Located in Kern County we have been helping animals in Kern and surrounding counties, get back on their feet and find forever homes since 2005.

Additional adoption info

The adoption process is relatively easy. Request an application, complete and return. Upon approval a meet and greet is scheduled with the pet in question. Pending a successful meet and greet, the adoption contract will be signed, the required adoption fee paid in full($150-$350 depending on the animal) and you can take your new pet home. Periodic updates are welcomed and appreciated.

Donations for animal care can be made directly to my veterinarian, Dr. Travis Thurman via telephone at 661-589-9900 or in office. All funds submitted will be used for the veterinary care of the Ancheta Animal Rescue animals, to include but not limited to vaccines, spay/ neuter services, wellness checks. Our Amazon wish list can also be found on Amazon under Ancheta Animal Rescue if you'd would like to send supplies or dog food.
