4 Paws 4 Hope

I have been involved in rescue for apx 20 years. I have worked with a few different groups. I decided I wanted to do my own rescue because I wanted to be able to do what I felt was right for the animals. I can not sit back with the knowledge and experience I have and know the situation of animals and not do anything. My kids have been raised rescuing animals and even their friends have been involved. I bottle feed, which is my favorite. We are doing a little TNR and we are always willing to give advice on how to help and animal or with vetting. I do this because its my passion. I do this because they can not help themselves.

Rescue FAQs

About Our Rescue
We are a small Non-Profit 501(c)3 rescue group located in Ocean County, NJ. We strive to help as many animals as we can and we take in any animal big or small. These can range from dogs all the way down to rats and lizards. And we wouldn’t be able to do this without the help of our fosters and the community.

4 Paws 4 Hope relies on donations from the community. They can be as small as a bag of animal food to monetary donations to help with any medical costs. Our animals are brought to the vet for checkups to receive shots and testing. And also when it comes time to spay and neuter them. Thanx to donations we can make the necessary visits with the animals in the rescue.

One of our biggest goals is to educate the community on the required care a potential pet might require. This may include special food and or cage care. We also would like to stress the need for the community to spay and neuter their pets which includes the smaller creatures like rabbits

Additional adoption info

There is an adoption application required for each animal. We have an online link that people can click and as soon as the application is completed, we get an email. You must be 18 to adopt. We require id, permission from a landlord or if you live with parent, they must give consent. A vet reference and personal reference is required. If a feline is not neutered they must be willing to provide altering info by a certain time or the cat could be taken back. We are willing to assist if needed. 110 for cats that have been altered, and fully vetted. Unaltered 65 with neuter contract. We will follow up on this. Small animals depends on which kind of animal it is. A hamster with complete set up would be 25 dollars. A guinea pig with set up is 45. A rabbit with set up is 45. We are looking into spay and neutering of the rabbits. We offer courtesy posting for people who need to rehome animals. If the animal can not stay in their home, we take them back but you must understand that we need a min of 48 hour notice.
