Rescue FAQs

Willamette Valley Ferret Shelter takes in lost and surrendered ferrets. We provide them the care they need and work to find them a forever home. We have the capacity for 40 ferrets and some in foster homes. Our ferrets mostly come from families who can no longer care for their pet ferrets and we also work with the local county animal control agencies who are not set up to accommodate ferrets. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us at area outreach events to help educate the public about proper ferret care and give a voice to the shelter.
We serve the Willamette Valley from the greater Portland Metro area North to the Albany South.
