Our rescue serves the West Coast. We have dogs available in multiple states, as our foster homes are all over the West Coast.

Interview
We talk with prospective adopters to see if they are "Bloodhound savvy" and if they have a lifestyle and home that will suit a Bloodhound.

We ask prospective adopters to submit an application for our review.

The adoption process begins with an adoption application. Once that has been completed and sent to the rescue it is reviewed.
*Adoption agreememt to be signed at the time of adoption and it basically states that in any event you can no longer keep the dog you adopted from us we are to be contacted immediately as we will take them back. They are not to change ownership without contacting the rescue. The pets will be well cared for and receive routine veterinary care.

We are members of our breed club and provide any advice you may need regarding your bloodhound. Our rescue respects responsible and ethical breeders, however we do not promote nor advertise for any breeder. We are strictly a non profit rescue organization. Our sole focus is helping Bloodhounds in need of re-homing.

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
