Rescue FAQs

We are a small volunteer non-profit 501c(3) rescue group located in Pontotoc, Mississippi serving to match New England adopters with their perfect family member. All of our rescues are in private foster homes where they are treated like family. We do not operate a physical shelter. We are happy to provide vet references and testimonials from previous New England adopters. All of our local shelters have a high euthanasia rate due to overpopulation so we created our rescue group to primarily adopt to the northern states to help keep as many dogs as we can from entering our kill shelters. You can learn more about us and some of what we do on our Facebook page - www.facebook.com/secondchancespontotoc

Additional adoption info

Please email us for an application. After your application is received you will have a chance to email with the foster and make sure the dog is the perfect match for you. If you choose to proceed with the adoption you will complete an adoption contract and we will set up a transport date. Our adoption fee is $500 which covers spay/neuter, vaccinations, rabies shot, microchip, and all transport costs.
