Rescue FAQs

We are a non profit organization saving hounds all across America. All our hounds are in foster homes throughout the U.S. where they are learning to be socialized with other foster pets and basic commands and manners. We rescue black & tan coonhounds, blueticks, redbones, bloodhounds, and tree walkers.
American Black & Tan Coonhound Rescue (ABTCR) is a national organization saving hounds across America. All of our dogs are spayed/neutered and up to date on all vaccinations, as well as, heartworm preventative and flea and tick preventative.

Additional adoption info

Adoption applications can be filled out on line at www.coonhoundrescue.com. Our adoption fee is $200 plus any fees for transportation out of state if the dog is being shipped via airlines. Applications are thoroughly checked and vets are contacted to be sure the prospective adopter has kept up on vaccinations and heartworm treatment for their past pets.
