We all agreed that Britney, an almost 2-year old Doxy/Schnauzer mix should be a candidate for a ticket on transport to her forever home in Colorado. Britney, while only weighing 10 lbs, loves the outdoors more than anything...except her favorite people. She is so excited when she knows it's walk time...we picture her overjoyed with the Colorado trails and loving the many days of sunshine. Britney is an active pup who thinks running and playing with her family and other gentle dogs is the greatest! Or you can find her lying quietly in a spot of sun with the most contented look on her sweet face. Britney enjoys her favorite people (many of which are children) and lets them know that they are wonderful and so special to her. She engages with all people in such a positive and healthy way..but there's no question that kids get that tail wagging with excitement. At the end of the day...it's all about a warm lap and lots of cuddling and love. Britney is a world class lap dog and it's for this reason that we'd like her to be an only dog. She becomes so attached to her favorite people that we feel she'd be happier with all the attention. She's very fine with sharing that with the children in the family...but we feel she'd think being the one & only fuzzy family member would be pretty great. Britney is such a well-behaved and respectful dog in her home...it's wonderful how low-maintenance she is...more time to spend having fun. She is very well housebroken and is great with sleeping in her crate all through the night. We think she enjoys the quiet and security that this offers. However, if given the opportunity to share the bed of one of her favorite humans...Britney would be ecstatic. She thinks that hugs and kisses are the greatest things ever...even better than a great treat. Britney also enjoys the car and would always be game for riding shotgun or can even fit perfectly under the seat in a plane to accompany her family on great adventures. Britney is a very light shedder and with great nutrition and brushing & baths, she should barely shed.
