Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bella is a 6-year-old female who weights about 7 pounds. She is black, with brown and white markings and loves to sit or lay in your lap. She will be especially happy if you allow her to sleep with you since she loves to snuggle close at night.
She is up to date on all her vaccines and was recently spayed. She came to CRT because her former owners could no longer afford to keep her. She is a very sweet, active girl who may be a Chihuahua, Miniature Pincher mix. She is well housebroken and has learned to sit on command since coming into her foster home. She gets along well with the other chis here and will be most happy if she has another small active dog to interact with. She loves to play and run in circles in the yard with one of my other dogs.
She can jump quite high - something we are working on so that she does not jump on you or your guests. She is responding to my command of "Off" when she does jump and that behavior is beginning to correct itself. I suspect her former owner encouraged her to jump on them but according to "Miss Doggy Manners" not everyone likes that behavior so we work on it daily. She does not bark excessively but will bark if someone comes to the door but stops when I issue the "quiet" command.
Bella will need a very secure fenced yard since she loves running outside and can jump my baby gates in the house. She has never tried to jump over our fence, which is quite a bit higher, but her fence needs to be at least 4 or more feet high. She also needs to go to a home where there are no small children although teenagers should be all right.
Bella is a loving, funny and calm little girl that would like nothing more than to shower you with doggie kisses if you decide you would be her forever Mom. If Bella sounds like a little girl you would like to share your home with please contact the Midwest Coordinator.
