My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our sweet little beagle-boy, Benny, would love for you to meet him and give him the wonderful home that he has never had. Benny came to us with three of his beagle friends from down south, when they were all turned in to a shelter by a breeder that no longer had any use for them. Someone from a rescue noticed them one day, huddled together in their run looking miserable, and knew that they didn't stand a chance. The beagles hit the road and came up to us, now they are safe and learning how to live a good life. Benny is quite shy, and it seems that he has not had much human interaction in his young life. This little boy is only about 3 years old and it's hard to imagine what his life must have been like before. He will cower and cringe a bit if you reach for him too fast, but he is never aggressive and doesn't seem to have a mean bone in his little body. Benny is quickly learning to enjoy going for daily walks and the beagle in him really kicks in when he is on our walking path and there's lots of trees to smell. Benny doesn't know what to make of toys just yet, but he's a fast learner. This little guy may take his time to get to know you, but he just loves anyone that shows him kindness and compassion. Benny would love a quiet, commotion-free home and he would be fine with other dogs. This little guy is so deserving of a fresh start in life in a wonderful home where he will be loved and cared for forever. File#23212 1/4/14
