My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

It's shocking to walk down the aisle of an extremely dreary high-kill Louisiana shelter and see the gorgeous Asia..with her baby Indi. Your mind can't help but go to..how and why did these exceptional dogs (both inside & out) get in this horrendous situation? It's fortunate that the awesome volunteers at this shelter do everything possible to save the lives of dogs with great temperaments. The numbers are still very sad and bring home the urgent need to spay/neuter. Asia was one of the extremely fortunate as she rode away (with Indi) to a new life. Asia had Indi at a very young age..and finally at approximately 18 months old..she is spayed and respected. Her great LA foster is teaching Asia about appropriate behavior in a home. She is very receptive and her wonderful..and sometimes silly..personality is emerging. While initially a bit shy, Asia warms up into the sweetest girl ever. She's so affectionate and cuddly..yet with just a bit of encouragement, she can play with all her heart. Her cottony-soft hair flies in the breeze as she plays with Indi (and the doggie (and kitty) herd at her foster's house. Asia is very receptive and as she turns her head to give you a smile..you see her amazing markings - they're so striking! She's so unusually beautiful and sweet..again the shock that she was about to be euthanized. But since all that is in the past..it's now time for Asia to have her very own forever family. Her foster is working on her socialization and leash skills in preparation for Asia's trip to a very lucky Colorado family. This training will need to continue to make Asia the very best adult dog she can be...and there's tons of potential in this engaging little dog. We envision Asia in an active family...she would love to walk the CO trails or play in the yard with another respectful dog and fun kids. She's so positive and loving that it's impossible not to fall in love. At day's end, she'll be a super-cuddler..and once bonded..a devoted and loyal best friend. While Asia's foster isn't aware of shedding, we don't suggest her for an individual with extreme allergic concerns. She does need periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her silky-soft hair healthy and matt-free.
Asia will be arriving in Denver right around 3/1. Applications are currently being accepted for this loving and sweet companion.
