Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Chiquita the Calico is a lover of people. She befriends both adults and children alike. All offers of affection are accepted and often accompanied by purring and chirping. She likes rubbing face to legs, or face to hands, or face to face . . . bring it! She will rub it with love. People are greeted with chirps and purrs, and as soon as Chiquita recognizes a car in the driveway or a person on the walkway she will run right out to be picked up and petted. Sometimes she will even jump into the car and onto your lap before you can get out!
Indoor time is divided into sunning herself on a window sill, where in between cat naps she can watch the neighborhood activity, or playing with pens and strings. Feather wands are fun too! She would enjoy having your company for playtime.
Chiquita is used to the outdoors but wants to come in at night or anytime when it’s cold or rainy. She likes to be warm. She prefers wet food more than kibbles. And will sometimes chirp while waiting for her food dish. Chiquita would be happy with some outdoor access, but to be safe she should be indoors at night. She dis-likes other cats and should be the only kitty in the household.
Two years ago she was abandoned by her owners and a kind-hearted neighbor has been caring for her ever since. Sadly, they are moving, and as much as they would like to, they cannot take her with them.
We think Chiquita is about 9 or 10 yrs old. She would like an affectionate owner who will also let her commune with nature. She is a beautiful, friendly calico kitty who will fill your heart with love.
This cat is a Courtesy Listing. We offer our services to help other responsible rescue groups or individuals find good homes for cats in need. We have screened and interviewed each of the individuals before agreeing to post their cat.
