Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This beautiful lady is Artemis, a 7 year old floppy-eared Doberman that would absolutely love a good, comfortable, loving home of her own. Artemis came to us with her brother Apollo from an inner-city shelter in South Jersey when the pair were picked up as strays. Since Apollo tends to dominate Artemis and pick on her occasionally, we have them separated for now and would consider adopting them out separately. We assume that these poor souls were yard dogs for most of their lives and were quite neglected. They have the scars of many years of living out in the elements with no one to love or care for them, yet they are still so friendly and affectionate. Artemis is a genuinely sweet girl that just adores people. When you go to take her for a walk, she sits very politely while her little nub of a tail wiggles. She is a bit strong on a leash but once we put a harness on her, she slowed right down and is now walking like a lady. Artemis is so happy to be making friends and getting attention, and she would make a wonderful addition to any loving, caring family. She would do best in a home with a well behaved dog and older, more mature children. Please give our beautiful Artemis the second chance in life that she's hoping for. File#23352 3/7/14
