Our wonderful Truman is our blossoming flower...he's learning more each day how wonderful life can be. . His days at a high-kill shelter are over...his great temperament earned him a ticket to a new life in Colorado. This adorable Westie/Schnauzer mix just needs to know for sure that you love him just as much as he loves you. When he's truly certain... there is no sweeter or kinder snuggler in the world. At approximately 3 years old and 11 lbs, Truman would be overjoyed with some serious belly rubs..and then his fun personality emerges - he's ready for play. He truly gets a smile as he spreads his joy around..a wag and a wiggle and he's ready for some gentle wrestling with his human or canine friends. Truman's temperament is the epitome of soft and gentle..with a dash of passion for adventure. Once Truman bonds, there is no more devoted or loyal companion in the world. He just needs to be given the time and assurance to know that you really think he's great. Little by little his little tail will begin to wag and as he gains trust and confidence..the wag will turn into a whole body wiggle. We feel the perfect home for our sweet and kind guy would be with nurturing retirees who enjoy spending their time with an adorable and very loving fuzzy guy. He would love the interaction and it would be great in perfecting his socialization skills. He would be such a loyal companion to wander leisurely on beautiful Colorado paths (he loves walks!) or just hanging out at home enjoying each other's company. Another gentle dog to share some play or quiet time with would be great fun...time in the yard or on the couch would be a perfect way to spend the day. Truman has a gorgeous non-shedding coat (although recently shaved to allow for healthy and cotton-soft hair to grow in) that's just waiting for great nutrition and periodic grooming to bring out it's softness..and Truman will be SO cute with a shaggy little face. Truman is a very portable (11 lbs is perfect!) and very pleasant guy to take along on life's adventures. He will always shine with his positive attitude and desire to please. For Truman, it's all about loving deeply and spending quality time enjoying each other's company.
