Malie's Story...
Malie is aprox 1 year old blond and white American Bulldog - possible mix with Lab Retriever. She currently weighs 47 lbs and needs to put on a few more. She is close to her adult weight. Malie was found in a rural Ohio dog pound. Crowded, the shelter had to find a way to make room. Instead of putting dogs to sleep they asked for rescue help. Dogworks took Malie into rescue. Gorgeous girl, friendly and sweet. Not a lot of hyper activity from this girl. Good disposition! Needs work on leash walking, so far seems to be housebroke and crate trained, has been good with other dogs and visiting children. Cats unknown.
We are still learning about Malie. Adoption fee includes: spay, vaccine update, heartworm check and G.I. de worming. Adoption fee $160.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Malie, a Toledo Bulldog/Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bulldog/Labrador Retriever for sale in Toledo, or seeking a Bulldog/Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Toledo.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Toledo already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Toledo breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bulldog/Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Bulldog/Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Toledo paves the way for another one to be saved.
