Tia's Story...
Tia: 3 year old chihuahua 7 lbs Good with people/dogs/kids (but only those older than 8 due to her small size) Fee $175

Pretty Tia is our little ballerina! When she's happy or excited, she spins and pirouettes and plies; with her long legs and lithe build she's the perfect dancer! Put her in a white tutu and she could easily star in 'The Nutcracher'! Tia is a perky gal with a sunny disposition; she makes friends easily and expects everyone she meets to pick her up and hug her. Although she is a chihuahua, she seems more like an italian greyhound ... she takes great joy in tearing around at great speed, doing figure eights and 'loop de lous'; it's amazing how fast this tiny legs can carry her! Tia is in a foster home with six other dogs with whom she enjoys playing but, like many chihuahuas, can be a bit barky when first meeting new dogs - she initially wants to make sure they know she's the special princess and then she'll make friends with them. Tia is definitely our little ray of sunshine who's antics and cheerful disposition make her so much fun to have around. Her adoption fee is $175; she's spayed, microchipped and current on vaccinations.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tia, a Indianapolis Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
